By the numbers: Runnin' of the Green's RD offers a look at the changing face of a venerable

Since 1978, when it was first held as a six mile road race on the SUNY Albany campus, the Runnin' of the Green has been held almost every year, though it has taken different forms and been held in different locations. In 2000 the race became a four mile road race and, In 2015, moved from Green Island and out to Schalmont High School in Rotterdam, and has been directed by Brian Northan. Northan pulled seventeen years worth of data on finishers and finishing times to give some insight on the changing face of racing in the capital region.
